La saveur sucr\u00e9e et am\u00e8re et le parfum\u00a0 menthol\u00e9 de ses feuilles lui conf\u00e8rent une saveur sucr\u00e9e et camphr\u00e9e \u00e0 la fois tr\u00e8s subtile et\u00a0 originale.<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Les feuilles s\u00e9ch\u00e9es r\u00e9duites en poudre offrent du sucre naturel, toujours \u00e0 port\u00e9e de Les Azt\u00e8ques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les premiers \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir ses vertus expectorantes et \u00e0 en consommer les fleurs comme friandises. Elle s&rsquo;utilise comme la stevia pour sucrer les boissons et les pr\u00e9parations culinaires. Le camphre qu&rsquo;elle contient est b\u00e9n\u00e9fique en phytoth\u00e9rapie mais en limite sa consommation pour \u00e9viter l&rsquo;intoxication.
